2ND NORTHERN ANNUAL REFORMED CONFERENCE (NAREC 2020)

Introduction

The Northern Annual Reformed Conference   (NAREC) is here again, scheduled to take place from 29th April to 2nd May 2020. The venue will be Zambia Baptist Association Headquarters Conference Centre in Ndola along the Ndola - Kitwe dual carriage way, adjacent to the Levy   Mwanawasa Stadium.  The theme for this year’s conference is  “The Holy Scriptures- truth unchanged, truth unchanging.”

We live in an age that has become very pragmatic and   considers itself grown up and enlightened having a low view or regard of the Holy Scriptures. Whereas society and some circles of the church have turned to pragmatic and traditional approach to life and living, the historic reformed attitude has always stood upon the sufficiency of the Word of God, written in all matters pertaining to God and to godliness.

Today, the church is faced with many enticing ways to   compromise the unchanging truth, and thus fail to stand for truth unchanged in a changing world. We have a large cloud of witnesses – the reformers, the puritans and many others who have gone before, who had unflinching testimony to the integrity, inspiration, authority, sufficiency, necessity, infallibility, inerrancy and perspicuity of the Word of God.

We are called to affirm the same unyielding convictions to the Word of God and be able to say in whatever circumstances like Martin Luther, ‘I am bound by the text of the Bible; my conscience is captive to the word of God’.

Historically, wherever there was a strong impetus to uphold the doctrine of the Holy Scriptures, true revival and spiritual growth of individual Christians and the church at large took place.

We invite you to come and have fellowship with us and experience a refreshing moment under the ministry of Gods Holy Scriptures.
